Ted Laborde currently serves on the Board of Directors of Gulf Coast Bank and Trust Company, New Orleans, Louisiana and has been an active participant in the bank's activities for the past 10 years. Prior to his retirement in 1998, he was employed for 35 years by the insurance brokerage firm, Marsh and McLennan, Inc., and served as Managing Director and Head of Office in New Orleans. He was primarily involved in the domestic and international marine and energy industry. Additionally, he served for 15 years on the Board of Directors of Team, Inc. (NASDAQ: TISI), an industrial services company with headquarters in Alvin, Texas.
He is involved on numerous community boards, including the Tulane University Health Science Center's Board of Governors and was an active member of Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and currently World Presidents Organization (WPO) and Chief Executives Organization (CEO).
His educational background includes graduation from Georgetown University, attending L.S.U. Law School and Harvard Business School's Advanced Management Program.
Ted and his wife, Mary Merle, have been married 46 years and live in New Orleans. They have four grown children and six grandchildren.
