Bruce Cundiff

Bruce has more than 12 years experience performing various functions throughout the payments and financial services industries, with a particular focus on how consumers’ interaction with technology affects their financial behavior and choices.
In his role directing Javelin’s syndicated research service, and as the key analyst for the payments practice, Bruce brings an acute understanding and the ability to provide effective insight on a wide array of issues that financial services industry players face. Specific topics that Bruce has covered include the evolving mobile banking channel, the integration and advancement of contactless payments in the US and elsewhere, the battle over interchange and the meaning to each constituent in the value chain, as well as forecasting analysis on electronic bill payment and presentment.
Bruce has worked with financial institutions, merchants, processors, card issuers, telcos, and payment networks analyzing their competitive landscape, forecasting usage and product evolution, understanding the evolving multi-channel nature of banking and payments, as well as driving projects specific to chargeback management, alternative online payment mechanisms, and anti-fraud efforts.

- Account Manager with Trintech, a payments industry software and hardware solution provider for merchants, financial institutions and telcos

Bruce has a B.A. in History and Asian Studies from Tufts University, and an MBA from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina. He resides in the San Francisco Bay Area. |
