Barry MacQuarrie, CPA.CITP has over twenty years of experience working with CPA firm technologies. He is the Director of Technology for Kirkland Albrecht & Fredrickson located in Braintree, Massachusetts. He is also Chief Information Officer of an affiliated company, XCM Solutions, which provides workflow solutions for CPA firms.

Robert W. Scott has covered the accounting profession and its technology for 16 years. He is editor of Accounting Technology, a magazine which serves tax and accounting professionals, and was previously technology editor of Accounting Today, a sister newspaper. Before that, he covered the computer industry, including both personal computer and host-based systems for trade publications. A native of Madison, Ind., he is a journalism graduate of Indiana University, but has lived and worked in the New York City area for the past 35 years. He is also the editor of the widely read, Consulting Insights, a twice monthly electronic newsletter about the accounting software market.

Thomas G. Stephens, Jr., received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree (Major in Accounting) from Auburn University in 1985. Upon graduation, Stephens worked for an Atlanta-based public accounting firm where he earned his designation as a Certified Public Accountant. Next, Stephens worked for BellSouth Corporation in Atlanta as an internal auditor; staff manager; operations manager of the Internal Audit Group; and manager of the Comptroller's Cost Accounting organization department. While working at BellSouth, he earned a Masters of Science (Major in Finance) from Georgia State University in 1992.

Lisa Traina, CPA, CITP is a nationally recognized consultant and speaker with over 20 years experience in technology management, implementation and auditing in Financial Institutions, CPA Firms, and a variety of small businesses. Lisa is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a degree in computer science. She also holds the Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP) designation of the AICPA.
