Ann Camarillo’s wide range of experience gained over the past 16 years at MasterCard has allowed her to gain in-depth knowledge of the payments business and develop a keen understanding of the needs of a MasterCard member financial institution. As Segment Leader, North America, Ms. Camarillo has principal responsibility for building and maintaining relationships with MasterCard financial institutions across the U.S. Region.
Ms. Camarillo previously held the position of Chief Debit Officer, managing all debit programs globally and leading the Debit Centre of Excellence (DCE) located in Waterloo, Belgium. She also served as the CEO of Maestro International and managed the Debit Advisory Board.
Prior to that, she was Senior Vice President, Customer Group, responsible for managing relationships with the largest global members of MasterCard. Ms Camarillo also managed a staff of Member Relations executives supporting numerous key U.S. member financial institutions and served as a Member Relations representative for one of largest and fastest-growing MasterCard member banks. She joined MasterCard in 1988, managing international network development and expansion in the MasterCard Global Operations Center and principal vendor relations for MasterCard.
Prior to joining MasterCard, Ms Camarillo started up the marketing department for a telecommunications venture, LDXNet/WilTel. She has also held various sales management and marketing positions with AT&T and Southwestern Bell.
Ms Camarillo is a native of St. Louis, Missouri. She holds a bachelor of science degree from Fontbonne College and a master’s in business administration from St. Louis University.
