Steven Zimmermann

Steven Zimmermann is the Managing Director of Standard & Poor's Western Regional Office in San Francisco, and has over 25 years experience in finance, including senior positions at Standard & Poor’s and a major investment-banking firm. The Standard & Poor’s Western Regional Office is responsible for ratings in 13 western states. In addition, the office provides rating services to issuers in Asia/ Pacific and Latin America. Steve has supervised the rating of the State of California, its University System and related agencies for over 15 years. He is a former member of the California Debt and Investment Advisory Commission’s Technical Advisory Committee; the former chair of the California Society of Municipal Analysts, and a former board member of the National Federation of Municipal Analysts. Steve holds an MBA, and BA from Columbia University; and an MCP from Harvard University.
