Mr. Holmes is currently Lead Energy Trader for Colorado Springs Utilities, responsible for forward electric and natural gas acquisition and scheduling, off system sales, and asset optimization. In addition to his other duties, Mr. Holmes has played a leading role in the development of Springs Utilities’ pending prepaid gas transaction. Prior to joining Colorado Springs Utilities in 2006, Mr. Holmes lived in Boise, Idaho, where he served as General Manager of Marketing and Trading for Idaho Power Company and earlier as Vice President of Gas Trading and Operations for IGI Resources. Mr. Holmes spent the first 10 years of his career in Houston, Texas, where he served in various positions with Tennessee Gas Pipeline and as board member for Park 10 Municipal Utility District. Mr. Holmes is a graduate of Eastern Washington University, where he received a B.A. in Math and Economics.
