Ms. Siegal, a Managing Director in Oppenheimer’s Municipal Capital Markets Group and the Manager of the Healthcare Finance Practice, has over 26 years of experience working with healthcare borrowers. Ms. Siegal has served as lead banker or financial advisor on over $7 billion of healthcare finance transactions nationally, including several first time and innovative transactions. Ms. Siegal has also served as advisor on a number of complex M&A transactions nationally including the sale of a specialty hospital out of bankruptcy, the merger of two large academic state facilities in Ohio, the merger of non-sectarian and Catholic hospitals in a number of states and the privatization of several municipal hospitals. Most recently, she has been engaged on financings for a number of heavy ion cancer therapy centers nationally.
Prior to joining Oppenheimer, Ms. Siegal managed several national firms' healthcare and higher education groups including Legg Mason’s Healthcare Finance Group, Ziegler Capital Markets Group's Healthcare Finance Group, Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette's Health Care & Higher Education Group and Bear Stearns' Health Care and Higher Education Group. Prior to joining Bear Stearns, Ms. Siegal was a senior rating officer in the healthcare group at Standard & Poor's in New York.
Ms. Siegal received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. with a major in healthcare administration from Temple University. While at Temple University, she completed residencies at the Philadelphia V.A. Hospital and at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She has served as author for publications for the Healthcare Financial Management Association. She has served as a speaker at conferences for the HFMA, Standard and Poor's and The Bond Buyer. Ms. Siegal is fully licensed under NASD series 7, 63 and 53.
