After acquiring extensive experience in the hospitality industry with the Accor Group, Jean-Christophe Gras is now assuming the position of General Manager at the new 258-room Sofitel Montréal and Regional Vice President and General Manager of Sofitel.

In more than 20 years of service with Accor in a variety of positions, Mr. Gras has cultivated in-depth knowledge of the hospitality industry.

Before coming to Montréal, he served as Director of Operations for the Sofitel New York, and in this capacity handled the hotel’s pre-opening arrangements and opening in 2000.

Prior to his tenure with the Accor group’s flagship property, he spent three years as General Manager for the opening of the Riverfront Residence in Bangkok, a Novotel affiliated executive serviced apartment which is administered by Accor Asia-Pacific.

He also spent time as General Manager in Charge of Operations of the Accor Academie – the Accor Group training centre – at its headquarters in Evry, France.
