Rebecca E. Kuehn is an Assistant Director for the Federal Trade Commission's Division of Privacy and Identity Protection. The Division of Privacy and Identity Protection is the newest of the Bureau of Consumer Protection's divisions, and oversees issues related to consumer privacy, credit reporting, identity theft, and information security. Ms. Kuehn joined the FTC after 12 years as an attorney in private practice in Virginia, D.C. and Maryland. While in private practice, Ms. Kuehn was a litigator, defending and advising businesses in a wide range of cases, including issues related to privacy and credit reporting. Among her clients were automotive dealers, manufacturers, and finance companies.
