As President of the Private Client Group at U.S. Bank, Londa Dewey leads 1610 employees in 121 offices throughout 25 states. The U.S. Bank Private Client Group provides private banking, personal trust, investment management and financial planning services to the high growth affluent market.
Londa grew up in Champaign, IL and graduated with a degree in finance from the University of Illinois.
She began her career at U.S. Bank (then First Wisconsin) in 1982 as a Management Trainee. She worked within the retail business line of the bank from 1983 until 1998, initially as a Personal Banker, then as a Branch Manager and eventually as the Wisconsin Division Retail Manager. Along the way, Londa became a Private Banking Segment Leader. In 1996 she was named the Chairman of the Board of Firstar Bank Wisconsin and the President of the Madison Market.
In November 1998, she accepted the position of Group Manager for Private Banking at Firstar Bank. Finally, during the initial stages of the merger of U.S. Bank and Firstar Bank in the spring of 2001, she was named the President of the Private Client Group. In 2001-2002 Londa and her team of direct managers led the Private Client Group through a successful integration while maintaining a focus on exceeding client expectations.
In her continued capacity as President of the Madison Market, Londa actively serves her community. She serves on the Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors as well as the United Way of Dane County Board of Directors. In 1999 she Chaired the Dane County United Way campaign. She also currently serves on the Board of Directors for Meriter Health Services and Camp Manito-wish YMCA. Londa is a member of the Downtown Madison Rotary Club.
In 1996 Londa was honored by being named the Distinguished Woman in Banking by Northwestern Financial Review.
Londa's husband Walter is a Senior Investment Professional with US Bancorp Asset Management. They have two children, Kristin and Carlton.
