Stuart Zimmerman is a principal and founder of Buckingham Asset Management, LLC, a Registered Investment Advisor firm in St. Louis. He is also a principal and founder of BAM Advisor Services LLC, a comprehensive service provider for independent Registered Investment Advisor firms across the country.

Prior to forming Buckingham and BAM, Stuart was partner in charge of the Personal Financial Consulting department of RubinBrown LLP, a 300-person CPA firm in St. Louis. His 28 years of experience with RubinBrown included service on its executive committee and chairing its practice development committee. Stuart is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and holds the Personal Financial Specialist designation of the AICPA. He has more than 30 years of experience in personal financial planning and is a frequent speaker on the subjects of investing and personal financial consulting.

Stuart currently serves on the Investment Advisor Leaders' Council for Investment Advisor magazine. As a member, he provides guidance on editorial content, identifies challenges facing the profession and shares strategies for success. Stuart has served within a number of professional and civic organizations. His professional achievements include contributing author and former contributing personal financial planning editor for the Journal of Accountancy; former member of the personal financial specialist subcommittee of the AICPA; executive committee of the AICPA personal financial planning division; National AICPA personal financial planning practice subcommittee; National AICPA estate planning subcommittee; National AICPA minority business development committee; and management of an accounting practice committee of the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants.

His civic contributions include serving as a member of the Jewish Federation of St. Louis board of directors; serves on the board of the Board of Directors of the American Jewish Committee-St. Louis chapter; chairs the public relations committee of St. Louis Partnership 2000. He is a past president of the Clayton Chamber of Commerce, the Clayton Child Center, the American Jewish Committee St. Louis Chapter and Craft Alliance. He is also a former board member of the Project Interchange, Parties in the Park, Arts & Education Council of Greater St. Louis and former vice president and member of the Board for Delcrest Apartments.

Stuart holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with emphasis in accounting from the University of Missouri in Columbia.
