Rob Nielsen is President and founder of LeaderLabs, Inc. Part think tank, part learning and training lab, LeaderLabs is dedicated to accelerating the success and impact of Insurance Advisory firms around the country.

Rob’s vision and commitment to creating success is based on his belief that the most innovative and powerful solutions can be found through the collaborative efforts of all stakeholders; advisors, clients, vendors, peers, and employees. Building on the philosophy that “No one knows everything, everyone knows something,” this network of firms and professionals, affiliated and committed to ‘the wisdom of the many’, has joined forces to develop a new paradigm for client value. LeaderLabs is committed to the premise that extraordinary results can be achieved when an organization successfully combines leadership, vision, culture, and measurement.

Working in a wide range of industries, Rob spent the first half of his business career focused on developing, implementing, and managing employee benefit strategies for employers with between 250 - 20,000 employees.

With over twenty years in the industry, Rob has owned his own firm, served on multiple advisory boards for national insurance entities, conducted numerous speaking engagements across the country, and been published in various industry magazines and other publications. Additionally, Rob has worked with dozens of insurance advisory firms nationally, to improve results and enhance cultural effectiveness.

Earlier in his career, Rob served six years as an attack helicopter pilot in the U.S. Army aviation branch. Attaining the rank of Captain, he received several awards for achievement, including a citation for meritorious service while on active duty.

Rob is a 1982 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York.
