Thomas Mangan

Thomas Mangan currently serves as President of the Employee Benefits Division at HUB International Northeast and the National Practice Leader/Chief Sales Officer of Employee Benefits of HUB International Limited, a top ten insurance brokerage firm in North America. As part of his current role, he oversees all employee benefits operations in the Northeast region of the firm and as well as advises employee benefits specialists throughout the entire organization on various sales strategies and offering guidance on different tactics and procedures. An employee of HUB since May 2005, Mr. Mangan has more than 17 years of experience in employee benefits, having most recently served as Senior Vice President and Employee Benefits Practice Leader for the South-Central Region of the Willis Group prior to joining HUB. He was also formerly the CEO of Willis’ Fort Worth Office.
Mr. Mangan is a member of the Council of Employee Benefit Executives, a division of the Council of Insurance Agents and Brokers (CIAB), where he serves as a Board Member and the Chairman of the Industry Affairs Committee. The CIAB is the largest Insurance Industry Association representing the leading brokers and consultants in the world who place of 90% of all insurance premiums globally. Thom also sits on the National Consultant Advisory Boards with Cigna, Aetna and United Healthcare.
Mr. Mangan is a recognized leader in the industry being voted as one of the top 10 most influential people in the industry by the Employee Benefit News. Thom is frequently published and quoted in national publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Business Insurance and Crain’s New York Business. Thom often presents at industry seminars and has been a guest lecturer at the University of Georgia’s School of Risk Management.
Mr. Mangan earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Westminster College and an MBA from Troy State University. In addition, Thom is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business’ Insurance Executive Leadership Program. His other post graduate programs include a Certified Managed Care Executive Designation (CMCE) from Northwestern University. |
