David R. Glezerman

David R. Glezerman has been employed in the collections industry for 33 years, with 29 years in higher educational receivables management. A 1976 graduate of Rutgers University, David received his M.B.A. from Temple University in 1991.
David was named Student Loan Coordinator at the Community College of Philadelphia (CCP) in 1979, where he initiated the collection effort for the National Direct and Nursing Student Loan programs. While at CCP, David was responsible for reducing default rates by more than 60 percent and for initiating a tuition receivables collection program for the college.
In 1984, David founded the Educational Accounts Receivable Management Association (EARMA), an organization designed for institutional debt collection personnel in eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware, and served as its founding president until 1989.
David has been employed at Temple University since 1986, where he is currently University Bursar. He has overall responsibility for handling over $325 million annually in loans and accounts receivables.
A speaker at numerous conferences and seminars throughout the United States, Glezerman has worked with the National Association of College and University Business Officers
(NACUBO) as a faculty and program committee member.
Glezerman also has served on several industry task forces and advisory committees for student loan, tax credit, customer service and minority faculty development issues.
A co-author of Managing and Collecting Student Accounts and
Loans: A Desk Reference for Educational Receivables Stewardship, Glezerman also has written several articles for and referenced by numerous industry publications for his views on higher education receivables. He also authored “Student Loan Program Partnering: A Recipe for Helping Schools Help Themselves” while working as a consultant with the US Department of Health and Human Services’ Partnership Program to assist schools with student loan collections and default reduction activities.
A co-creator of the Higher Education Collection Specialist Certificate program, certified instructor, Creditors International committee member and national board member for ACA International, the association of credit and collections professionals, Glezerman is a past recipient of ACA’s Member of the Year award in 2004 and Charles F. Lindemann Instructor of the Year award in 2007.
