Sylvia Reynolds
Chief Marketing Officer
Wells Fargo & Company
As Wells Fargo’s Chief Marketing Officer, Sylvia Reynolds leads the development of integrated marketing strategies across Wells Fargo’s 80 business lines and national geography. She is directly responsible for brand strategy and advertising, database and experiential marketing, integrated program and product development, market research and analysis, and marketing technologies. She is also a member of the company’s Management Committee.
A 25-year veteran in financial services marketing, Reynolds began her career in marketing communications but quickly gravitated to the analytical side in applying strategic planning, market research and database strategy to brand, marketing and advertising development.
Reynolds joined Wells Fargo in May 2001 as head of marketing for the Consumer Credit Group, a division of Wells Fargo Home & Consumer Finance Group. Previously, she was EVP of Deposit Strategy and Support at Bank of America, after serving as EVP of strategic programs with that company’s Residential Lending Group. She has also held senior marketing and strategy positions at Ceridian Employer Services, Citicorp Mortgage and Pulte Homes Corporation.
Once a community organizer, Reynolds has actively maintained her passion for local involvement. She serves on the Board of Directors of the San Francisco chapter of the American Red Cross and on the Board of Directors of Taproot Foundation.
A product of a small-town upbringing in Pipestone, Minnesota, Reynolds graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in management from the University of Denver, where she also earned a master’s in business administration.
