Before founding EcoStrategy in 2007, Felipe Albertani held a variety of positions in the academic, non-profit and international development sectors.

As a consultant for the Inter-American Development Bank he advised on improving the sustainability of more than 300 projects financed by the organization, from large infrastructure works to small companies. He developed a variety of information technology solutions for environmental management still in use today and was a key member of the team designing and implementing the new environmental management system for the entire Bank -- covering the headquarters and 26 country offices.

Before starting his career as an international environmental consultant, Felipe Albertani worked in the non-profit sector in Washington, DC, on a variety of issues ranging from deforestation in the Amazon and sustainable foods to climate change. He started his career as a scientist investigating tropical bird populations in Brazil.

After completing his undergraduate work in Biology, he completed his master's degree on Environmental Policy at the George Washington University.
