Stuart Williams

Stuart Williams is the Director of Payment Services for CheckFree - now part of Fiserv. In this position, he maintains an active role within the payments industry on behalf of CheckFree, while also assisting in product innovation.
Williams joined CheckFree in 1989, and in addition to his current position has also served as Director of Strategic Planning for the Software Division, managing the business development and product management functions for the company’s ACH Business Unit.
Williams has 19 years of experience in the payments industry. He has worked with a variety of corporations, government agencies and the top 100 financial institutions across the country to implement and support electronic payment and check electronification strategies.
Williams has held active roles with NACHA and several regional ACH organizations. Currently, he an active member or participant on three NACHA councils, including The Council of Electronic Billing and Payment (CEBP), the Electronic Check Council as a Steering Committee member (ECC) and The Internet Council (TIC). Further, he maintains active roles on the Software Information Exchange (SIX) and is a member of the NACHA Board of Regents for The Payments Institute. In addition to co-chairing NACHA’s Pay it Green Alliance, Williams is a frequent speaker at a variety of national and regional conferences.
Williams graduated from Georgia State University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, majoring in Computer Information Systems.
