Workshop: Overcoming Obstacles in Short Sales
This workshop will focus on helping real estate agents understand how to help the owner of a property that needs to sell the property on a "short sale". The group will discuss what the lender or servicer will need when considering a "short sale". There will be group discussion regarding communication and partnering with the lender/servicer without violating the agents fiduciary duties to the seller. Disclosure responsibilities to the Buyer and the Buyers agent will be explored. The Texas Real Estate Commission promulgated Addendum for Short Sales will be reviewed. The participant will leave with a better understanding of how to make the transaction smoother for all of the parties involved in the transaction.
