Marina Walsh is an associate vice president in the MBA’s research and
economics department, specializing in industry performance benchmarking
for residential lenders and servicers. She is MBA's project manager and
contact for such studies as the Servicing Operations Study and Forum for
Prime and Subprime Servicers, the MBA/STRATMOR Peer Group Survey and
Roundtables, the annual Cost Study, the Mortgage Banking Compensation
Survey Programs and other ad hoc surveys.
Walsh also assists in compiling MBA's educational materials and conference
content. Results of her work have appeared in such publications as Mortgage
Banking, National Mortgage News, American Banker, National Servicing News, Inside Mortgage Finance,
Servicing Management and NewsLink. She represents MBA on the Mortgage Bankers Financial Reporting
Form ("WebMB") committee, a consortium of representatives from Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Ginnie Mae and
MBA.
Walsh joined MBA in October 2000 and was promoted to director in December 2002 and senior director in
December 2006. Prior to joining MBA, Walsh was a manager in Ernst and Young’s Real Estate Advisory
Services Group where her focus was Federal credit program design, implementation and performance
measurement. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and a Master of Public Administration
degree from Columbia University.
