Kevin Morrison has been in the payments industry for the last 15 years focusing on Credit, Debit, and Prepaid Card. He started his career at Commerce Bank of Kansas City in the early 1990’s as a credit analyst. After moving up the ranks at First Data for 10 years, he accepted a position at H&R Block in 2006.
Kevin is currently responsible for the H&R Block Emerald Card program and the ongoing development of the Emerald Payments Platform. He oversaw the launch of the largest general purpose prepaid MasterCard program in the industry, an initiative that issued more than 2 million cards during the 2007 tax season.
In the program’s third year, the H&R Block Emerald Prepaid MasterCard includes an innovative bundle of features, including: the Emerald Advance Line of Credit, the Emerald Savings Account, Emerald Money Transfer and Consumer Alerts (text messaging).
Morrison is a graduate of Bellevue University in Omaha, Nebraska.
