Dan O'Malley is a financial services executive with a background in strategy, new product development, and quantitative marketing. He is CEO of PerkStreet Financial, a start-up bringing innovative rewards to consumer checking accounts. The company targets young professionals, offering them five times the rewards of other accounts. Previously, he founded and led the marketing, product development, and analytics teams for Capital One's Payments business. He patented and launched the industry-altering decoupled debit card (top Payments News story of 2007, seven articles in American Banker) and multiple prepaid debit products, growing the business into Capital One's largest strategic initiative.

Prior to launching the Payments business, Mr. O'Malley was a Case Team Director in Capital One's Strategy group, where he advised executives in the credit card business on strategy and new product development. Before Capital One, he worked at Oliver Wyman (previously Mercer Management Consulting), where he specialized in helping consumer retail clients with pricing analytics and product range optimization. Mr. O'Malley graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University with a B.S.E. in Operations Research and Financial Engineering. He has a passion for education and has also taught high-school physics.
