According to a new study by the American Institute of CPAs and Moss Adams, financial planning and advisory services have helped fuel an increase in revenues at CPA firms. CPA firms with a financial planning practice reported an average annual growth rate of 34.9% between 2004 & 2006. The majority of practices are currently smaller than those in the broader industry, which may place them at a competitive disadvantage. 52% of respondents (with in-house financial planning services) are challenged with successfully integrating financial planning and advisory services with their broader CPA firm business.
