Jim Files
President
QFN
Jim Files, President of QFN, launched his Financial Advisor career after helping lead the last company he co-founded to an IPO in 1994. Jim has experience in tax efficient transactions, wealth management, retirement planning and business succession strategies.
Jim has comprehensive experience as a Mergers & Acquisitions
Consultant for business owners planning to sell their companies. His knowledge
consists of hands-on experience in structuring business sales in order to maximize
after-tax dollars so owners can meet their retirement goals.
In addition, Jim has experience in financing placements that include: raising venture capital, institutional financing and securing funding in the public marketplace. Jim's broad entrepreneurial experience, coupled with his financial advisory background, enables him to provide critical client guidance to assist in financial success.
As President of QFN, Jim focuses attention on educating clients on tax efficient investments, 1031 real estate deferral strategies and asset disposition strategies. Jim devotes significant time to providing a comprehensive financial evaluation to determine effective asset allocation and sophisticated diversi?cation of investor funds. Once a fundamental plan is drafted which meets the client's objectives, an Investment Policy Statement is created to assure exacting execution of the client's investment goals.
Jim believes that professional investment advisory service is based upon understanding of a client's objectives and goals, then working with our team of experts to determine the most prudent way to structure a transaction in order to deploy the assets. If assets are put under management, QFN has assembled excellent "institutional grade" portfolio strategists and money managers for our client needs. Our approach to asset management provides clients with the ability to have large, highly rated institutional & pension fund money managers watching over their retirement assets.
In addition to Jim's investment counseling, estate advisory activities and business and real estate succession planning at QFN, he is author and co-author of two books, "What Business Owners Don't Know About Selling Their Business", in March of 2004, and "True Net Cash Flow", a comprehensive guide to tax efficient real estate disposition, in January 2007. Jim's advice has been published in financial and investment magazines and he has appeared on the radio to provide investment advice.
