In January 2006, Mr. Olsen joined the National Sales Office (NSO), which was formed in September 2005. Along with NSO director Dale Klose, Mr. Olsen is jointly responsible for developing and implementing National City’s sales strategy and culture to support greater sales productivity and cross-selling throughout the company.
Mr. Olsen began his career with National City in 1991 as a retail management trainee. In 1995, he joined Small Business Banking as Lead Credit Underwriter. In 1997, he became an account officer in Special Credit division of Credit Administration. Most recently, Mr. Olsen managed Wholesale Banking’s Deposit and TM Profitability Team. His group was responsible for management of Deposit and Sweep Products, deposit and earnings credit rates, Small Business Treasury Management Products, check and float pricing, cash vault products and Treasury Management Risk. In addition to his career with National City, Mr. Olsen has two years’ experience in Corporate Banking relationship management with First Citizens Bank & Trust, Fayetteville, NC.
Mr. Olsen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Miami University in Oxford Ohio and an MBA Banking and Finance from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland Ohio. Additionally, Mr. Olsen holds Certified Treasury Professional certification.
