Herbert H. Hilliard has served as executive vice president of risk management for First Horizon National Corporation since November 2001. He is responsible for government relations, compliance, internal audit and security as well as risk management for First Horizon National Corporation and its banking subsidiary, First Tennessee Bank. Hilliard joined First Horizon in 1969 and served as executive vice president and manager of government relations from April 1987 to 2001.
First Horizon National Corporation is headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee, and the corporation’s stock is traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol FHN.

He earned a BBA from Memphis State University in personnel administration and industrial relations. He completed additional studies at the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University, the Tennessee Executive Development Program at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, Cornell University’s Executive Development Program and Crosby Quality College.
