Ray spent over 14 years abroad with American Express in a number of global risk and operations assignments. While at American Express, he was responsible for the launch of the Middle East Dollar Card and created one of the first revolving lending products in Japan. His last role at American Express was Chief Risk Officer for consumer financial services.
After Ray left American Express, he held various Chief Risk Officer roles at Bank of New York for their bank card and at Sears for their Private Label Credit Card Business. Directly prior to joining GE, Ray served as the General Manager of Mellon Bank’s Credit Card Group.
Ray joined GE Global Consumer Finance as the Chief Risk Officer in 1997 and became a GE Officer in 2005.
Ray is a past member of the Mastercard US Business Committee and a current member of the Economics Club of Chicago.
