With more than 24 years of industry experience, John Vella is President and Chief Executive Officer of EMC Mortgage Corporation, overseeing its daily operations and professional staff of more than 1,900 employees since joining the company in March 2006.

Previously, Mr. Vella served as the President and COO of Aames Investment Corporation, Chief Sales Officer and Chief Administrative Officer of Option One Mortgage Corporation, CEO of Household Automotive Finance Corporation, and Managing Director of GMAC/RFC. Mr. Vella has also held executive positions with Freddie Mac and FDIC/FSLIC.

EMC Mortgage Corporation is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Bear Stearns Companies Inc. headquartered in Lewisville, Texas within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. As a mortgage banking company that specializes in the acquisition, servicing and disposition of residential mortgage loans, EMC has experienced tremendous growth over the past few years.
