In 1997, David J. Zugheri co-founded First Houston Mortgage, a Houston-based mortgage banking firm currently licensed in 18 states that offers residential mortgage lending services, from the initial application to underwriting and funding. 

As the company’s president, Zugheri focuses on managing the daily operations of First Houston and providing strategic direction. Zugheri’s previous experience includes serving as a loan default specialist for the Resolution Trust Corp., a division of the FDIC, working in the secondary marketing divisions of several mortgage companies and being a member of an advisory council for Countrywide Financial. 

Zugheri holds a Bachelor of Arts from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. He holds a Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) designation and is a MBA Certified Mortgage Technologist (CMT) designee.
