New Technology for Loan Performance Monitoring & Portfolio Decision Making
While the industry got very comfortable using automated decisioning solutions for product, pricing, eligibility and underwriting, it's taken the current industry challenges to consider "re-decisioning" a loan when a borrower defaults. Yet underwriting a loan and effectively modifying a loan look a lot alike. With the addition of current data and information and rules-driven decisioning, the ability to evaluate an entire portfolio at the loan level to get the distressed borrower headed down the right revised loan path - refinance, repayment, modification, mitigation or liquidation - exists today.

Steps for Preventing Fraud in Servicing
Taking control of mortgage fraud is one way servicers can make a difference to the bottom line when so many other things seem out of their control these days. With a 45% increase in the second quarter of 2008 from the same period in 2007, mortgage fraud is in need of some new attention from servicing and default servicing as loan mods and foreclosures proliferate.
This knowledgeable panel of fraud experts will help you tap into the steps, strategies and tools that servicers are taking to combat the increase in fraud and therefore stymie the loss of profits.

REO Super Session: Management Challenges and Evolving Strategies in Today's Market
The significant and ongoing rise in foreclosures is driving a related spike in REO inventories across many markets. Servicers and asset management vendors are challenged with what are, in many aspects, unprecedented market conditions. This session will feature a panel of seasoned REO industry veterans, and will focus on the following key points: What are most significant changes in disposition strategy that have been driven by this market, and will continue to evolve out of necessity? Top 3 challenges contributing to delayed cycle times/turn ratios; solutions? Alternative strategies for improving marketability and cash flow (auctions, repair philosophy, rental or lease/buy?)

Best Practices in Loss Mitigation
Mass loan modifications are causing servicers to increase the amount of work they outsource. A task that use to be pretty simple now has a more complex set of borrower options and underwriting standards plus, the ever changing market risk. The panelists on this session are in the heart of the loss mitigation avalanche and therefore are qualified to share the strategies in loss mitigation that are working for them (and those that are not).
