			<p>David M. Bizar is a partner in the Boston office of McCarter & English, LLP and practices consumer financial services and commercial litigation. He frequently represents finance companies and other business clients in their highest stakes disputes in the civil courts and before government authorities challenging their products and services, corporate practices and regulatory adherence. Mr. Bizar has defended many of the nation's premier institutions in more than 20 consumer and product-related class actions. He also prosecutes and defends creditor and debtor's rights suits in and outside of bankruptcy.

Mr. Bizar is co-chair of the firm's subprime mortgage litigation group. Among other notable cases, he recently represented one of the largest federal savings associations in a bankruptcy adversary proceeding challenging the lawfulness of its option ARM mortgage product.  He has been quoted extensively in the national media and has spoken to industry groups across the country about litigation and fallout issues related to the current economic crisis and its impact on mortgage lenders and servicers, investment banks and hedge funds.
