Mr. Reynolds’ practice concentrates on areas related to real estate finance, mortgage banking, and consumer finance. He defends companies in class actions and other civil litigation, involving claims arising under the Truth-in-Lending Act (TILA), the Real Estate Settlement and Procedures Act (RESPA), the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and related areas. Mr. Reynolds provides compliance advice to mortgage servicers and other consumer lenders. His practice also includes the drafting and negotiating of loan purchase agreements, loan correspondent agreements, loan broker agreements, and related instruments.
Mr. Reynolds is the former chairman of the Consumer Financial Services Committee of the State Bar of California, and former chairman of the Financial Practices Section of the Orange County Bar Association. He speaks often before financial services trade associations. He is the author of numerous articles regarding the financial services industry, including “Electronic Mortgage Talk”, Mortgage Banking (August 1993) and the “Legality of Optical Storage” Mortgage Finance (January 1994).
Mr. Reynolds is a 1987 graduate of Dartmouth College (A.B.) and a 1990 graduate of McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific where he was awarded a J.D. degree “with distinction.” He was inducted into the Order of the Coif.
