Steve Daniels is the Senior Vice President and the Director of National ELOC (equity line of credit) Operations at Wachovia Mortgage Corporation.  An expert in technology solutions for the mortgage industry, Daniels has a diverse background that blends technology and business experience stemming from over 17 years working on technology in the areas of banking, mortgage, insurance, and IT consulting. 

Daniels was previously Director of Business Technology supporting Consumer Credit, Wachovia Mortgage Corporation, Equibanc and GreenLink, where he oversaw and directed all aspects of business requirements, testing, deployment of technology, help desk, reporting and web strategies. He also has been the Director of Small Business Technology and Senior Technology Strategist for Wachovia’s Commercial Line of Business.   

Daniels has had several articles published in the press and is often quoted as an expert source in publications such as Mortgage Technology magazine, National Mortgage News and Mortgage Banking.  He is also a noted presenter for several industry conferences.  He recently presented at the MBA Technology Conference and the SourceMedia Technology Conference on the topic of Best Practices of Implementing point of sale technologies, and has also spoken at the DevCon 2000 Technology Conference. 

Daniels received his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from Appalachian State University, his Masters degree in Technology Leadership from George Washington University, and is also a graduate of the Executive Graduate School of Bank Operations and Technology from Vanderbilt University.
