In 1997, David J. Zugheri co-founded Envoy Mortgage, formerly First Houston Mortgage, a Houston-based national mortgage banking firm currently licensed in 20 states that offers retail residential lending services, from the initial application to closing and shipping.
Zugheri focuses on managing the daily operations of Envoy Mortgage and providing strategic direction. Zugheri’s previous experience includes working for the Resolution Trust Corp., working in the secondary marketing divisions of several mortgage companies and being a member of an advisory council for Countrywide Financial.
His background in various mortgage conduits has earned him numerous opportunities to serve as a guest speaker at various colleges and universities across Texas, at the Houston West Chamber of Commerce and SourceMedia and MBA events. He appears on the weekly radio show, “Street Talk Live,” the number one rated financial talk show in Houston.
Zugheri holds a Bachelor of Arts from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. He holds both a Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) designation and a Certified Mortgage Technologist (CMT) designation.
