Dan Thoms is senior vice president of sales and strategic initiatives for AllRegs, the leading online publisher of reference information for the residential mortgage lending industry. In this position, he manages and oversees strategic corporate initiatives, the sales division and the new education division known as AllRegs Academy.
Thoms was most recently vice president of education and business development for the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), where he was instrumental in the launch of CampusMBA, the association's award-winning educational division. In 2004, he received the prestigious Development in Instructional and Curriculum Excellence (DICE) Award for Leader of the Year in Instructional Design and Curriculum Development.
Prior to joining MBA, Thoms served as the associate director of The Center for Learning and Educational Technology at the University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland. During a career spanning nearly 20 years, Thoms has held key positions with Washington, D.C. firms leveraging technology to deliver quality educational programs
A frequent speaker and author, Thoms has been featured in The Washington Business Journal as well as numerous TV programs related to adult education and the use of technology. A past board member of the Jump$tart Coalition and chairman of the American Society for Training & Development (ASTD) Financial Services Advisory Council, Thoms holds a master's degree in education from Marymount University.
