Harry Gardner is the Vice President of Industry Technology for the Mortgage Bankers Association, and is also the President of MISMO, Inc. (www.mismo.org).
Led by MBA, MISMO is comprised of MBA members, technology companies, and key industry players, including Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae. MISMO was formed in January 2000 to address electronic commerce issues in the mortgage industry. In January 2001, it launched the eMortgage Workgroup to focus on eMortgage standardization by providing technical specifications and industry guidelines and recommendations.
Mr. Gardner also staffs the MBA’s Board of Directors Technology Steering Committee (BoDTech), Residential Technology Steering Committee (ResTech), and the Residential Technology Providers Forum, representing the mortgage industry’s software and services community. The ResTech Committee has established an eMortgage Adoption Task Force, which is developing additional resources and guidance to foster industry implementation of eMortgages. Formerly Director of Custom Integration with Ultraprise Corp., a Frederick, MD, mortgage technology startup, Mr. Gardner has more than 27 years of management and technical experience in electronics design, software development, e-commerce, government contract management and systems integration, and network systems support. In addition to Ultraprise, he has worked for CACI International, W.J. Culver Consulting, CSDC, Delta Electronics, Litton Systems, Teledyne Avionics, and Amber Electronics. Mr. Gardner has been a network administrator and certified in Novell, 3Com, and Ariba technologies.
Mr. Gardner holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Virginia.
