He has been involved in over 300 such transactions; his asset brokerage experience includes credit cards, installment loans, mortgage and commercial loan products. Lou built Cohane Rafferty's distressed-asset sales and advisory business and has become a leading figure in this marketplace.

Sean McVity is a managing partner of Garnet Capital Advisors, LLC, a New-York-based financial-services firm providing in portfolio-sale and capital-raising advisory services in the distressed debt market. Sean manages Garnet’s Corporate Financial Advisory practice, and directs the firm’s international businesses San Juan-based Garnet Las Américas and Warsaw, Poland-based Garnet Polska, sp. z o.o.

Jason Duckworth joined the Consumer Finance Division of Bank Boston in 1996 and was part of the Management Team in the Collections Department. In 1998, he transferred to the Credit Card Division of Bank Boston. His primary responsibilities included managing the default portfolio and various vendor relationships.

Samuel J. Gerdano is the Executive Director of the American Bankruptcy Institute, the nation’s largest multi-disciplinary organization in the field of insolvency. He joined the ABI in May 1991. In 2007, on the occasion of ABI’s silver anniversary, he was awarded ABI’s first Lifetime Achievement Award.

Dr. Anthony Hughes is Managing Director of Credit Analytics at MEDC. Primarily, his responsibilities involve overseeing the company’s consulting efforts related to consumer credit risk modeling and forecasting. His work in this area has been far ranging, covering the spectrum of products from credit cards to mortgages using data drawn from a number of countries in North America, Europe and the Asia Pacific.
