Robert G. Markoff is a partner in the firm of Markoff & Krasny, Chicago, Illinois. Bob is the President of the National Association of Retail Collection Attorneys, a member of the, the Chicago Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association, and ACA International, Members Attorney Program.
Bob was the founding President of the Illinois Creditors’ Bar Association and currently serves as its Vice President for Legislation. He is the Chair of the Illinois State Bar Association Section Council for Commercial, Banking and Bankruptcy Law. Bob is an Executive Committee member and Secretary of the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education and frequently lectures throughout the State of Illinois on subjects relating to the Enforcement of Judgments, Registration of Foreign Judgments and Replevin Actions. Frequently, he represents creditors positions related to Citations, Garnishments and Wage Deduction Proceedings to the State Legislature in Springfield.
He is the General Editor of the IICLE publication Creditors’ Rights in Illinois and also an author of several of its chapters. He was also the primary author of the Revivial of Judgement Act in Illinois and the recent Public Act 95-0661.
Bob has been a collection attorney for more than 30 years. He received his B.S. degree with high honors and distinction from the University of Illinois and J.D. degree from DePaul University College of Law.
