Tim Hayes is currently the director of analytic consulting for TransUnion where he leads a team responsible for providing analytical and strategic consulting to a wide array of companies that span a diverse set of product and industry segments, including financial services, telecommunications, healthcare and collections to name a few.  Tim and his team work in close collaboration with TransUnion’s internal teams and customers in order to deliver best in class business intelligence solutions that can be deployed across the account relationship life cycle to maximize customer value and increase ROI.   Tim has over 24 years of industry experience, including 20 years experience in the financial services industry, in the areas of analytics, model and strategy development, risk and portfolio management and process management.

Prior to joining TransUnion, Tim was a Senior Risk Manager at GE Consumer Finance Americas (formerly GE Capital) where he served in a number of capacities over his 8+ year tenure, including analytics, strategy and model development – supporting the areas of risk, collections, fraud and marketing. 
 
Previous to GE, Tim was the Chief Credit Officer at Household Bank (now HSBC Bank – USA, N.A.), where he where he managed a staff of analysts and operations associates who serviced the retail bank’s portfolio from a risk and collections perspective.  In addition, Tim was responsible for setting credit policy, performing due diligences on the behalf of the bank, well as overseeing all of the bank’s portfolio sales and purchases.  Finally, before entering the financial services industry, Tim was a financial analyst for 5 years working primarily for large technology corporations.

Tim received a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and has represented TransUnion at a number of industry conferences and roundtables, including most recently the California Bankers Association (Credit Risk Trends) and the Risk Managers Roundtable (‘Authorized User’ Abuse).
