Michael Franco is a Managing Director of Morgan Stanley and Head of the Morgan Stanley Real Estate Funds (MSREF) in the United States, including their recently raised $1.75Bn. fifth fund. In this capacity, Michael is responsible for overseeing all of MSREF's U.S. activities, setting MSREF's U.S. strategy and sourcing and executing U.S. investment opportunities. In addition, Michael is a member of the Investment Committee for all of Morgan Stanley's U.S. Real Estate Investment Funds.
Michael joined Morgan Stanley in 1990 after receiving a BS in Finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. After working for one year in the Capital Markets group in the Investment Banking Division, Michael joined MSREF at the time of its inception in 1991 and has worked exclusively on MSREF activities since that time. Michael is a member of the Urban Land Institute. |
