Lawrence Gray joined Wachovia Securities as Head of the Real Estate Investment Banking Group in August 1997.

Prior to joining Wachovia Securities, Mr. Gray worked with the Real Estate Investment Banking Departments of Morgan Stanley and J. P. Morgan in New York. Mr. Gray began his real estate career in 1988 as a leasing agent for Jones Lang Wootton USA in Northern Virginia.

As head of Real Estate Corporate Finance, Mr. Gray is responsible for overseeing Wachovia's real estate investment banking and corporate banking businesses. These businesses include the coverage of corporate real estate clients and the execution of strategic advisory and capital raising assignments, including the extension of credit, for these clients. Mr. Gray's transaction experience includes M&A transactions, asset and portfolio sales, public debt and equity offerings, private equity placements, mortgage financings, and bank loans executed for a wide array of clients. These clients have included public and private REITs, private real estate owners, domestic and foreign pension funds, insurance companies and corporate real estate subsidiaries. Lawrence holds a master of business administration degree from the University of Virginia and an AB in Economics from the University of North Carolina.
