David Farmer
Senior Director, Quality and Customer Experience
Chick-fil-A, Inc.
David provides leadership in the area of the customer experience at Chick-fil-A, Inc., a privately held quick-service restaurant chain with 2008 revenues of approximately $3 billion. His team of culinarians, designers, engineers, hospitality consultants, researchers, and project managers is responsible for menu development, service model design, and the expression of the Chick-fil-A brand within the restaurant. After working as a marketing intern with Chick-fil-A while attending Georgia Tech, David joined the organization full-time in 1991 as a Marketing Consultant. Prior to his current position, he served as Director of Store Marketing, where his work centered around advertising, promotions, sponsorships, and field marketing.
An Atlanta native, David received a degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Georgia Tech. He has also completed executive education programs at the Goizuetta Business School of Emory University and the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
David is a founding elder at North Metro Church, a growing non-denominational church in Marietta, GA. He is actively involved as a board member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes in Atlanta, and recently served as Chairman of the Board of Directors for Eagle Ranch, a home in north Georgia for 54 boys and girls who are in need of a stronger family support system.
David and his wife, Mallory, have three children (Austin, 17; Regan, 15; Kristen, 10). When he is not coaching or attending his kid’s sports activities, he loves reading, long runs, and shooting sporting clays. He dreams of becoming a respectable golfer, but for now, it remains only a dream.
