Will Howle is currently the chief operating officer of Wachovia’s Retail and Small Business Bank, which serves consumer and small business customers through 3,300 financial centers in 21 states across the U.S. In his role, Will oversees operations, execution and strategy of the Retail and Small Business Bank, including the small business, Hispanic, Affluent and Mass customer segment strategies.

Howle brings with him more than 20 years of experience in banking to his current role. He joined Wachovia in 2003 to lead the company’s Private Advisory segment within the Retail Bank. In 2004, Howle added management of the Small Business segment to his role. In June 2005, he was promoted director of all Retail Segments, where he continued to lead Private Advisory and Small Business as well as the company’s Mass, Hispanic and Upper Mass/Lower Affluent customer segments.

Prior to joining Wachovia, Howle was head of the Private Bank in Georgia and Coastal South Carolina for Bank of America. He also held various roles with Bank of America including commercial banker and market president. Howle received his bachelor’s of science in business administration from Appalachian State University.
