Courting a New Kind of Customer: Serving Small Business Online
Presenter:
Vicki O’Connor, VP, Product Management, Fiserv Business Banking Services

Session Description
Small businesses often comprise a large, potentially lucrative and frequently underserved portion of a financial institution's customer base. There are more than 40 million small businesses in the United States, and their time-starved owners have an affinity for online services: a full 75 percent are utilizing online banking. However, many are relying on online banking services designed for personal use, which do not fully meet business needs. In addition, a lack of dedicated online services for small business leaves financial institutions with diminished retention and revenue generation opportunities.

During this session attendees will hear about recent research conducted by Fiserv that details the needs and desires of small business owners and administrators in regards to online banking. This in-depth ethnographic study outlines different “personas” of who a small business owner is and what are their specific online banking needs. Attendees will learn about the online banking needs and desires of small business owners and administrators and how offering online services tailored to small business could provide enhanced revenue generation opportunities. They will also learn about some of the most important factors in the success of a small business banking offering and why it is it not only about delivering product features.

Note: Breakfast will be served during the sessions and attendance will be guaranteed to the first 50 registrants. You may register at registration.
