Matthew Gambs is the President and CEO of Diamond Bancorp, and serves as a Director of Diamond Bank. Mr. Gambs was previously the President and COO of First Chicago Bancorp and prior to that CEO of Bloomingdale Bank and Trust. He joined Bloomingdale Bank & Trust in 1999 and served as President and CEO from 2004 through 2006. Mr. Gambs is a partner in Republic Title, a title insurance agency serving the greater Chicago metropolitan area for over 25 years.
Mr. Gambs has 15 years of management experience and prior to joining the bank, he worked with PGT Industries and Alpine Banks of Colorado. He also served for 8 years in the United States Marine Corps Reserves.
Mr. Gambs has been a member of the Legislative Affairs Committee and director for the Illinois Community Bankers Association (ICBA) since 2004. In addition he serves as Chairman and Corporate Director of Heritage YMCA in Naperville, Illinois, and is also a Director and member of the Executive Committee of the Illinois Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Gambs received his BS in economics and BA in political science from Regis University, Denver, Colorado. He is currently pursuing his Masters in Leadership Studies at North Central College in Naperville, Illinois.
