James T. Leman is Head of Capital Markets and is a Principal at Westwater. Jim is currently consulting after having spent years leading global electronic trading and external connectivity, global operations management and regulatory groups at Citigroup, HSBC and the New York Stock Exchange and their affiliates. Jim also served as the President of SunGard BRASS. Jim has in-depth skills in financial and operational aspects of the brokerage industry, and continues to lead firms and the industry, in creation of innovative technologies and standards for trading and managing the processing of securities transactions. Recognized as one of the top technology innovators of the ‘90s by Wall Street & Technology Magazine, Jim is a founding member of the FIX (Financial Information Exchange) Industry committee; he led the global creation of the FIX committee in Europe, Japan, and Asia. Jim was also a founding member of Thompson/DTCC Omgeo (US) Advisory committee. Jim holds a BS in Accounting St. Peter’s College and an MBA in finance from Fordham University.
