Gary Plotkin is vice president and chief Information officer (CIO) for the Hartford’s Property&Casualty operations. 

As chief information officer, he has overall responsibility for the technology needs of The Hartford’s property-casualty businesses, including supervision of the CIOs of  P&C’s four business organizations and project management and business analysis of major projects.

Plotkin joined The Hartford in December 2004 as chief technology officer and was named to his present position in June 2007. Before joining The Hartford, he was executive vice president of Client and Network Services at The MacGregor Group, a producer of order management software for the international financial services marketplace.  Prior to that, he was a partner in Accenture’s Financial Services and Technology practice.

A native of Toronto, Plotkin holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY.
