Mark A. Plostock, a sole practitioner from Syosset, New York. He has been a long standing member and Chair of the New York State Society CPA'S Nassau Chapter Taxation Committee and has been a perennial speaker at its Annual Tax Conference.
Mr. Plostock has been involved with information technology since the birth of the PC in the early 1980's.
He was a Charter Member of the Information Technology Executive Committee for the AICPA as well as a member of the IT Section since its founding.
Mr. Plostock received the Certified Information Technology Professional designation from the AICPA. He has used his 30 plus years as a practitioner to teach other accountants not only the technical substance but the practical approaches to applying it. He serves on the Advisory Board of Tax Hotline for state and local taxes.
He has written articles for The CPA Journal, AICPA Software Tools Newsletter and has been interviewed by BottomLine/Tomorrow and US News and World Report. Over the years he has taught for the AICPA as well as several State Societies. Mr. Plostock is a graduate of Quinnipiac University and serves as a member of its Accounting Advisory Board.
