In 2008, Rich was recognized by the Financial Times/Starmine as the #1 Earnings Estimator in the Diversified Financial Services Sector. In 2007, he was honored by the FT/Starmine as the #1 Stock Picker and #2 Earnings Estimator in the Diversified Financial Services Sector. The Wall Street Journal and Thomson Financial recognized him in their “Best on the Street” Analysts Surveys for 2003, 2002 and 2000. In 2003, the WSJ ranked Rich #1 in stock picking for the Securities Brokerage industry. In 2002, he was one of six analysts cited by the WSJ for stock picking in two industry categories, Securities Brokerage and Internet. In 2003, Forbes.com/StarMine ranked Rich the #10 overall stock picker among 3,200 research analysts, and Rich was the only analyst to be ranked in the top ten for two consecutive years (he ranked #2 overall stock picker in 2002). Forbes.com/StarMine also ranked Rich the #1 stock picker for the Capital Markets industry in 2003, #1 in diversified financial services in 2005, and as a top earnings estimator in 2005 and 2006.

Prior to joining Sandler O’Neill, Mr. Repetto was a Managing Director and analyst responsible for eFinance and eBrokerage at Putnam Lovell NBF. This position followed his work at Lehman Brothers, where Rich established the firm’s research coverage of the Internet Financial Services Sector in May 1999 and was part of the top-ranked Institutional Investor specialty finance team. Prior to his work at Lehman Brothers, Rich had a 10-year career at Mobil Oil Corporation in sales and marketing.

Mr. Repetto holds a B.S. in General Engineering from the United States Military Academy, and an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charter Holder and a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts (NYSSA) and the CFA Institute (formerly the Association for Investment Management and Research, or AIMR).
