With over thirty years of financial services experience, Barbara is Managing Principal of Hudock Moyer Wealth Management. Barron’s recognized Barbara as one of the Top 100 Women Financial Advisors in the country two years in a row.

She rose from number 35 on the list in 2006 to number 21 in 2007 - an accolade Barbara attributes to the efforts of the entire Hudock Moyer team. Barbara is a 2007 recipient of the “Wachovia Way” Award “which recognized Barbara’s extraordinary personal and professional achievements and her continuing dedication to the quality of life for her family, friends, clients, and community.” She is a Premier Advisor for Wachovia Securities and holds the professional designation of Certified Investment Management Analyst, CIMA. She is a 2007 graduate of the Securities Industry Institute. SII is our industry’s premier educational program and is a joint effort of Wharton Business School faculty and the Securities Industry Association (SIA). A member of the Financial Planning Association and the Investment Management Consulting Association, she is actively involved in both giving and receiving continuing education for the betterment of her practice and the financial planning industry. She is often invited to present at industry conferences. Hudock Moyer Wealth Management was included on the Registered Rep’s 100 Top Independent Advisor list in August of 2007.

Before establishing HMWM, Barbara worked as a Financial Advisor for Merrill Lynch Private Client Group. She rose to become a First Vice President and was an instructor of financial planning for five years at their Princeton professional development center. Barbara was profiled in The Trust Equation by Steven Drozdeck and Lyn Fisher. Hudock Moyer Wealth Management Team was profiled in Wealth Management Teams: The Investor’s Guide to Evaluating and Selecting the Best Alliance of Financial Pros by Sydney LeBlanc and Lyn Fisher.

Originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, Barbara has lived in Williamsport for more than 35 years. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Bloomsburg University, served on its foundation Board from 1990-2005, and was named Young Alumna of the Year in 1997. In 2002, Barbara was nominated by the Chairman of the Board of Governors and the Chancellor of the State System of Higher Education to receive the volunteerism award for her contributions to Bloomsburg University. She also was named a Paul Harris Fellow of the Rotary Foundation, is a member of the National Committee on Planned Giving, and serves as Director of The First Community Foundation of Pennsylvania, the Williamsport-Lycoming Foundation, WVIA Public TV & Radio, Woodcock Foundation for the Appreciation of the Arts and the Williamsport Chamber of Commerce.
