Card Technology magazine is proud to present the Breakthrough awards, recognizing the leading technologies and individual achievements of 2005. The winners will be featured in the May issue of Card Technology. Awards will be presented in four categories:

• Innovation—the biggest advance in card technology.
• Implementation—the most significant implementation of card technology.
• Integration—the best example of combining technologies to solve a problem.
• Visionary—the individual who did the most to advance the understanding and use of advanced card technology.

Want a quick overview of a key industry segment? Check out CTST’s Technology Pavilion and TechTours. The Technology Pavilion, located on the exhibit floor, will present a broad range of innovative products and solutions in a showcase format with product descriptions and key technical information. There will be presentations on three fast-growing sectors: biometric technology, contactless technology, and NFC technology. The pavilion will be open during exhibit hours.

Daily TechTours begin with moderated panel presentations by industry experts. Participants and guides then depart for an exhibit floor tour, visiting all of the major vendors in a product sector. TechTours will begin in the Technology Pavilion each day according to the following schedule:

Tuesday, 4:15 – 5:30	Biometric Technology
Wednesday, 12:00 – 1:30	Contactless Technology
Thursday, 12:00 – 1:30	NFC Technology
